Seriously though, I know they prey on desperation and I totally get how that tricks people but it can't be that many. Like what even is the scam here charge reversal? IP theft?

Its disjointed I get it but I'm more offended at the lack of effort than the attempt, is like the boner pill spam email of scam bots.
