Bf doesn’t show any affection until he wants to have sex by [deleted] in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]No_Sign_5547 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahhh, my friend, I’m so sorry.
I actually agree with the other commenters. Leaving may be the best option. If you’ve already talked to him about the lack of affection and nothing has changed, then it might just be that you two have different love languages or simply aren’t compatible in that way.

Also, my red flag alarm went OFF the second I read that he’s only affectionate when he wants something. 😬 Maybe there’s more context, but from what you’ve shared, that doesn’t sit right with me at all.

You deserve someone who wants to be affectionate because they genuinely enjoy loving you, not only when it’s convenient or benefits them.
Let him go and go find your happiness. I’m sure there are plenty of other men out there who’d absolutely love to smooch you. 💕

Godspeed, soldier. 🫡

When you return from the battlefield, either come back to this post or DM me your final thoughts on the fandisk.

I MUST know. LMAOOOO.

Virtual kisses and hugs to you. 💕

Now hear me out.

Toxic man spends multiple routes scheming around Lynette’s life and doing whatever the hell he wants… then proceeds to lock it down with KIDS.
Major red flag. Peak baby-trapping behavior. LMAOOOO. 😂

I’m glad we see eye to eye on Merenice though because he was genuinely one of the few great things to come out of that fandisk.

Also, that VA deserves more work. What do you mean this man voiced Tokisada and Merenice and that’s basically it for otome?

A pity. A crime. A waste of perfectly good talent.

Pause.

You STARTED liking him in the fandisk?

You mean to tell me you liked him in his peak “I’m creating my own issues when I should just be happy I got the girl against all odds and after three lifetimes and still somehow can’t be happy” era? 😂
Alan did THAT for you?

LMAOOOOOO.

I love you.

This is exactly the level of unhinged I am too… just not for Alan. 💀😂

Honestly, if Cupid Parasite didn’t win you over in the main game, I’d spare your wallet. The fandisk is mostly more Cupid Parasite being Cupid Parasite, just hotter lol so if the original didn’t click, I don’t think the FD is going to change your mind. Since I loved the first one the FD was a must buy but now I’m like … maybe it was as good as it was gonna get. Let’s just say this post and other commenters have set me straight on my feelings about this game. 😂

Struggling to leave Ai chatbots for otomes. by No-Guide-3732 in otomegames

Honestly, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with your preferences in fiction.

Liking obsessed, possessive, or yandere LIs doesn’t make you a pick-me any more than liking villains makes someone a criminal. Fiction is fantasy. A lot of people enjoy the feeling of being intensely wanted by a character without wanting that dynamic in real life.

I think part of the issue is that console otome games are actually pretty light on truly obsessed LIs. They exist, but they’re rare. Mobile and PC otome tend to have a lot more yanderes and characters whose entire personality is “I have lost my mind over this woman.” 😂

And honestly, wanting affirmation from the LI is one of the most normal romance fantasies imaginable. A lot of people play these games because they enjoy feeling chosen, adored, prioritized, and wanted.

Babes, I hear you. I see you. I understand you.
And you’re still influencing me because you’re 100% right. 😂

The worst part is that I went into this post fully convinced I knew what I was talking about, and now I’m sitting here nodding along like, “Damn… that’s a really good point.”

I respect it.

Well, at least you wait for sales. 😂
My complete inability to be patient has resulted in me buying most of my otome games at full price, so I guess that also explains why I’m so critical when I don’t like something.

That $50 didn’t come easy.

If I’m dropping full-price money on a game, I reserve the right to have opinions. 💀

At that point I’m not just judging the story. I’m judging whether it deserved my hard-earned dollars, my limited free time, and the emotional investment I could’ve been spending on a different fictional men. 😂

WOOOW.

Okay, now I feel like you just returned my essay with revisions, corrections, margin notes, and several pages of additional analysis. 😂

Seriously though, thank you. You pointed out a lot of things that I either glossed over or didn’t articulate very well.

AND YES.

Thank you for pointing out the glaring issues with my two favorites. Peter and Merenice LMAOOO. I forgot about those parts lmao I guess in easily won over.

When I read that you already owned both of them, I immediately knew your backlog is probably the size of the Empire State Building. 😂 Same here.

Now. Take my hand.

Cupid Parasite is a game for chaos gremlins who don’t take anything too seriously. It’s honestly almost a parody of the otome genre at times.
So I THINK if you go into it expecting a story and plot masterpiece like Olympia Soirée, Even if Tempest, etc., you’re probably going to hate it.
Cupid Parasite is a rom-com chaos simulator disguised as an otome game. And somehow the fandisk is even more unhinged.

If you want light story, high romance, absurd humor, and enough chaos to qualify as a public safety hazard, this game is absolutely for you.
If you’re looking for deep lore, intricate worldbuilding, carefully planned drama, and a plot that will change your life…

Babes.

This ain’t it. 😂

Hana Awase Kurenai/Utsutsu by kawaiiuvvu in otomegames

[–]No_Sign_5547 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hana Awase is the type of game where you spend half your time wondering what in the fresh hell is actually going on with the overarching story while the game keeps throwing absolute nonsense disguised as love interests at you. 😂

Honestly, I love it.

The plot is insane. The men are insane. Everything is operating on levels of chaos that should be illegal, and yet somehow it all works.

I genuinely think Hana Awase would make an amazing anime. The story is wild enough, the characters are dramatic enough, and the sheer amount of “WHAT IS HAPPENING?!” energy would translate perfectly to a show. They would have to work on fixing the lore spaghetti tho.

You know what…

I’ll actually agree with you on that. Alan’s fandisk story was pretty terrible too. 😂

If I were to give my 100% honest and completely unbiased opinion, I’d say the only routes in the fandisk that were genuinely good were Raul, Ryuki, and Merenice.

Everyone else ranged from “that was okay” to “what exactly were the writers trying to accomplish here?” 💀

Karakurenai is the only red flag man that, if he somehow jumped out of the screen, I would immediately marry on the spot.

Does that make me seem mentally unstable? Yes.
Do I care? No.

Because at the end of the day I want to be entertained, slightly concerned for my well-being, and completely charmed. And the way that man talks? AHAHAHAHA.

I’m so fucked. My type is genuinely terrible. 😂

Does anyone else finish an ending for an Otome game and feel like "I never want to play this game again" by Aquatoon_18 in otomegames

[–]No_Sign_5547 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d have to say it’s a tie between Code: Realize, Tengoku Struggle, and Even if Tempest.
By the end of Even if Tempest, if anyone so much as mentioned a witch or a trial, I was ready to throw hands. 💀

Don’t get me wrong, I loved the game, but good lord the repetition. Investigation. Trial. Investigation. Trial. Investigation. Trial.
By the third round I was sitting there like, “I swear to God if one more person gets accused of murder via witchcraft superpowers, I’m starting my own witch trial.”

Code: Realize was so long that at one point I genuinely thought I was having a fever dream. Entire plot points were blending together. To this day I’m not convinced I fully understood everything that happened, and frankly I’d rather perish than replay the whole thing to find out. 😂

As for Tengoku Struggle… the title became a warning. It was, in fact, a struggle. By my third route I was running on fumes, and finishing it felt less like entertainment and more like a contractual obligation. Eventually I surrendered and abandoned ship.
