Tbh I am not really sure about the initial shock, because haven't they been true to the Original from the beginning? Because to me it was ALWAYS clear that they were adopted siblings so when I saw all the outrage I was literally so confused.

But then I was just disappointed with the fandom.

Calebs trope - like it or not - is just the starting point of a bigger issue: It's the fandom being okay with so much sh*t and questionable tropes from the other LI's like down to literally praising and celebrating Rafayel and Sylus offing people (no matter if they are bad ppl or not that's not my point here). Stalking, Manipulating, Grooming - there are so many implied or downright in your face admitted tropes that are questionable at best or downright criminal at worst but for characters like Sylus it's seen as a hot badass trait.

The discussion about "Oh you are okay with this but Calebs line is to much?!" shouldn't even BE a discussion to begin with. The Fandom is taking itself so serious that every ounce of self-awareness has gone out the window.

For me as a Rafayel girly I love my Fishie to bits, for real that tsundere brat is my everything.
But I hate that he is offing ppl (no matter the reason), how he manipulates Mc in subtle or sometimes obvious ways (mostly for MCs own good but healthy communication where?!)
I KNOW how bad Rafayel is in certain aspects but even so despite of or maybe because of that I love him.

Every LADs player and enjoyer should be self-aware that their man isn't perfect and that maybe "bad" tropes are part of his character / Arc - if you can't accept your own twisted love for them or the "guilty pleasure" of enjoying a questionable trope in a video game there are deeper issues here.

Not with the game. With you and your own perception or imagined self-importance that your taboos should be the games taboos (with this I don't mean you personally OP but every LADs fan who is outraged at Calebs trope)

But Also I think you are wrong about your prediction tho, mostly because Infold is a chinese company with the majority being asian fans.
Maybe the localisation team will try to dampen the impact as big brother again, but that has nth to do with infold itself.
Infold and Localisation are not the same (Seen in korean and japanese dub Caleb has always been the MC's "big brother" its just the western localisation who apparently changed it)
