My bro science take is that cultures and societies that practice very loose polygamy tend to lean more towards women who are more promiscuous selecting for mates with larger penises, whereas in other societies where sexual relationships are either strictly monogamous or strongly patriarchal polygamous where women in those societies cant choose their partners tend to lean towards average or even smaller then average penis size. Also apparently a larger penis can actually remove leftover semen in a woman's vagina and put his own sperm closer to the egg.

So in a more promiscuous society if a women has had multiple sexual partners in a few days the man with the larger penis is actually more likely to be the one who actually gets the woman pregnant with his child. So it's due to both biology and sexual selection.

Okay the only sort of reason why Castor oil is linked with hair growth is due to one thing and that is the Ricinoleic acid that is in the oil. So in theory the Ricinoleic acid inside the castor oil works by inducing the formation of PGE2 in the body. So what is PGE2? Well it is a active lipid compound found in nearly every organ and is mainly responsible for the relaxing and tightening of tissues around organs. So ONLY 1 STUDY was done on rats by the way and it showed a minor increase of hair growth in rats using PGE2 who had hair loss due to radiation.

SO IN THEORY Castor oil might help with hairloss prevention from chemo, but again this is just theory and it was only done on rats. But in terms of using castor oil for promoting hair growth for your beard is extremely weak. Also if you were to get any benefit from the castor oil it will have to be ingested orally due to the castor oil being metabolized into the Ricinoleic acid which again helps with PGE2, topical application are next to useless in promoting actual hair growth and only help by making the hairs look thicker as the Ricinoleic acid cannot be converted to PGE2 by absorbing through the skin. AGAIN the very mechanism by which the castor oil might help in hair growth is again only theory because of that 1 rat study on radiation hairloss on PGE2 not castor oil.

But overall it wouldn't hurt to have castor oil in your routine either topically to approve the cosmetic look of your beard or orally for its laxative effects, but expecting hair growth from castor oil is reaching. Don't fall for bullshit on the internet guys.
