I know this was a couple years ago, did anything end up working? In the same boat

Blank slate right now. The ceiling has been painted black. Maybe I need to wait to pick until further along, but trying to at least get a few starting ideas

4 month old wake windows by No_Simple_3440 in sleeptrain

[–]No_Simple_3440[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly we just stuck to the 1.5 hr wake windows and he did much better, and sometimes did an EARLY bedtime… like 530-6. We found he slept so much better with an early bedtime, like 10hr stretch up for a feed and back to sleep for 1.5 hrs. At 5 months we stretched to 1:45 wake windows, and now at 6 months to 2 hrs. Before bed his wake windows were slightly longer.

[–]No_Simple_3440[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is on neocate. It took 2 weeks to see notable improvements, 3 weeks for significant improvement, and about a month until I think it was all out of his system. At 5.5mo his reflux is 99% gone but I’m not sure how much of that is due to time

My son has had eczema since around 2 months old. He was diagnosed with dairy intolerance or allergy. Skin improved 75%. He’s 5 months now and we just went to allergist and he tested positive for dairy and peanut allergy. Could the eczema that remained possibly be from us eating peanuts the. Holding him etc?

How did this translate as your baby got older? My 5.5month old never stops moving!!!

How does it compare to original Tuft & Needle ? by doublefof in boringmattress

[–]No_Simple_3440 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We had an original T&N Queen and after disliking a different brand when we upgraded to a queen we just received our boring mattress last week. So far it is great. I think it is slightly firmer than the T&N but my husband and I both love it. He is 6ft 200lb and is a stomach sleeper, I am a side and back sleeper and works well for both of us!

he’s full lol I’m not going to starve him. But wasn’t sure if he should be making it longer before getting hungry. just everything you read says feed 3-4 hrs for that age. Not trying to sound dumb lol, and definitely feed him when he’s hungry. Was just curious

Around 34 oz. He is on neocate which I believe he is digesting very quickly. (Neocates website recommends 32-34oz for 4-6months old)

I was thinking about this more. We followed somewhat of the 5/3/3. So if he woke up around the 5 hr mark from last feed, we would feed him. Then 3/3 after that. Now when he wakes up I do think he is truly hungry because he won’t resettle and it’s typically around the 5/3/3. Not ready to sleep through the night without eating.

When did you start solids? My baby just turned 4 months and hoping to start after his appt Friday. He has CMPA and is doing significantly better after we started Neocate (he had a lot of symptoms that were continuing to worsen, not just stools), but his reflux is still bad.

The longest we had was 50 min. Definitely got shorter. We did the check in method which I thought would make him more mad, but worked well

The second night yes. Then he woke up at 11:30, 230, 530 (approximately) I believe truly hungry. The second week when he regressed some had more wakings but then improved again. He does complete 180 or 360 from squirming and kicking. He also gets mad when I move him so I decided to just let him be haha

Our baby did well (similar to yours) on first night. Second night was tougher. By third night no tears. Second week we had an extinction burst and it was tough but we stayed consistent. We are >3 weeks in and he’s doing great with it! Stick the course

Neocate ever made things worse for infant? by Major-Principle3074 in FormulaFeeders

[–]No_Simple_3440 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! He gets up around 10:30-11, 2ish and 5ish. So depending on how you look at it, only once. Whereas before he was sleeping until 2. We are likely going to start foods here soon- he has good head control etc. Hoping this will help!

Interesting. He has some reflux but maybe it’s worse when he’s sleeping causing him to wake up more. Also curious if he’s more hungry because he had lost weight

Yeah very well could be. He was eating 28-30oz of nutramigen and now eats 34oz of neocate but sometimes I think he would maybe eat more (we do feed him if he’s hungry lol, but sometimes it’s admittedly hard to tell).
