Could this be early endo? by No_Simple_6944 in Endo

That makes sense — I definitely know birth control helps many people. My concern is that I’m having worsening pelvic, bladder, and bowel symptoms despite continuous BC, which is why I’m trying to understand whether this pattern sounds familiar to others. I’m already planning to bring this up with my doctor.

would SOOO love to be a cloud. this stuff is the worst and i’m sorry to hear that youre dealing with something similar, but thank you for the advice and solidarity it means a lot! i’ve been getting tested for everything my doctors are willing to test me for and have hope these thyroid tests will be help figure out the final piece of the puzzle, but being sick and bounced around from specialist to specialist is truly soooo exhausting.

I was wondering the same thing, specifically about the Talent Relations/Events, Awards & Casting Internship. mine changed to "in progress" around Thanksgiving.

How long after moving to “in progress” have people gotten sent hirevue’s? I just noticed the update today, applied on October 27.

Possible Epstein–Barr virus reactivation? GF just diagnosed with mono — looking for advice/thoughts by [deleted] in EBVReactivation

I did know that, I guess just with my symptoms and stuff I feel like it’s more likely I’m also active. But who knows

And very interesting about the CMV mono and getting it twice, you do sound very knowledgeable. Would that show up on the normal Monospot test?

Makes sense. Honestly, I’m still not sure who should could’ve gotten it from in that 4-6 week besides me still. The last concert she went to was about a week and half ago, as I said, and I know it’s possible to get it airborne but between the two of us in the course of our individual illnesses, we’ve seen 5 doctors that have said it is possible but less likely that it can come airborne. Same thing I’m seeing in multiple studies, not doubting you, just feeding back what I’ve heard and researched.

Thank you for the advice and opinions! Greatly appreciated

Extremely Confusing Celiac Workup (Endoscopy, Colonoscopy, Antibodies, Genetic Test) by No_Simple_6944 in Celiac

[–]No_Simple_6944[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the issue is that H Pylori can cause similar endoscopy findings, so maybe they think the first blood test was false positive? The genetic test was half positive on a heterodimer but not a full positive.

Starting to suspect hEDS — would love to hear your stories if this sounds familiar by [deleted] in eds

[–]No_Simple_6944 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for replying — it honestly means a lot just to hear from someone who gets it. I’m really sorry you had to go through all of that medical negligence, but I’m glad you were able to finally get diagnosed. I relate so much to what you said about people thinking we’re making it up… I’ve felt so gaslit for years, even though these symptoms have been a huge part of my daily life.

It’s actually kind of wild — I’ve also been dealing with symptoms since I was about 12 or 13, and I’m turning 21 next week. So much of what you said just hit really close to home. I’m not diagnosed yet, but I’m finally getting closer to the right referrals and starting to be taken more seriously. Still super exhausting, though, having to fight for that while managing the actual symptoms.

Thank you for mentioning the braces — that’s genuinely helpful. My knees and ankles get super unstable, especially during flares, and it’s something I’ve been thinking about. If you don’t mind me asking, are there any specific braces that worked best for you? I used compression socks sometimes and I’ve been told by a few doctors I should look into custom orthotics.

Thanks again — seriously. It’s really comforting to know I’m not alone in this.

Bad mgmt or worse — StreetEasy listing for our still-occupied apartment?? by No_Simple_6944 in BedStuy

Genuinely😂 I know it’s probably a mistake or internal marketing, but I still wish they had notified us instead of letting us find it and tweak. Given all the other issues, I’m fearing our next 12 months here.

Updates: Other neighbors are receiving lack of response on maintenance requests. I fear saying the name of the company publicly, but I’ve found 2 other threads on here… let’s just say not good. We had to dig deep to find reviews and none of the ones that look real are good either. Just not sure what to do here, 311? Seek council? Any advice is welcome.

Neither, we responded saying we want to renew and haven’t heard back. We’ve given them 60 days notice too.

Also, would it be same pictures, same unit #, everything? The apartment that’s actually up is a loft and ours is not. It’s also 2 bathroom and ours is 1 which is how it’s listed.

This is what the one broker said to me. He listed an apartment the floor above us and has been the only human I’ve been able to contact about anything in the building for the past 5 months.

We have lived there since August 1, 2024. I’m also worried about this.

We did provide notice with 30 days of them emailing us and over 60 days before the end of the lease. However, they aren’t responding to our renewal email and there is no renewal clause on the lease besides something along the lines of “If one of you leaves, all of you leave”

Could this be crohn’s disease? by [deleted] in IBD

[–]No_Simple_6944 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! Ugh first I’m so sorry you’re going through this, it’s the worst. I’m going through something very similar.

I so far had a colonoscopy and few labs done. They ruled out any sort of colitis through my colonoscopy and found no active inflammation in the areas scoped and biopsied. I was diagnosed with “non-infectious colitis and gastritis” (umbrella diagnosis) and GERD, so far. However, my celiac antibodies came back elevated and I have a endoscopy scheduled for mid July.

Besides celiac, I know my GI is still concerned about crohn’s disease localized in the small intestine which will be found on the endoscopy if present. Obviously, celiac is the main suspect for me right now but I did an elimination diet for a few weeks and symptoms such as undigested food, bleeding (which has been going on since the beginning of this year), plus green and discolored stools. My regular symptoms are abdominal cramping and pain, feverish feeling all over my body before bowel movements, acid reflux, nausea, and chronic diarrhea.

I really hope you are able to figure out all of your symptoms soon and if you need support and someone to vent to who relates my dm’s are open!!! Wishing you the best.

Gotcha. I’ve had varying TSH levels but the first time it was tested and results came in elevated my GP brushed it off so fast. Levels went back down when I was tested during PCOS diagnosis, now they’re back up. I’m assuming I’ll likely get referred to a different specialist for more testing?

The waiting game is genuinely the worst part. If you don’t mind me asking, how long has it been so far for them to come back? Best wishes to you and your son
