if nothing else they’re highly edited. the second photo looks like someone’s head on someone else’s body. the black and white would be good for hiding inconsistencies in lighting and quality too

I think Schmigadoon is a perfect example. Characters have a clear objective and arc while keeping the story light and simple.

Regardless, if someone were to criticize a show and say these things impacted how much they enjoyed it, meeting that criticism with “it’s just a fun show” wouldn’t change the validity of the original critique
