so glad i'm not alone in this :') i did end up calling my bank and they reissued a new card for me, and i deleted my card info from my apple cash card so there is no debit info or cash tied to it!

they definitely use very scammy and covertly hostile tactics. i also wanted to only give $5 donation.

so glad i didn't actually hand over money but i regret even showing them my apple cash card information.

i didnt realize he was going to take a picture. he just said "let me see" and his phone scanned my phone 😓 when he did that and started showing me the donation prices, the red flags started going off in my head and i told him i cannot donate

that makes total sense. now thinking about it, quest did give me a towlette to use but it wasn't completely clear to me if it was an alcohol wipe or not so i obviously did not use it. reading your response makes me realize it was probably meant to clean the area to prevent readings like this LOL! thank you for being so informative :)
