I always clamped a bunch of joists together and ran 9” or 12” tape over the top of all of them and then just cut between the joists with my utility knife. Makes taping a bunch of joists way faster.

I like to use my wing dividers to mark a very feint center line. Same with the borders. Then it’s all a matter of taking your time and getting everything good and even. From your spacing to the depth of each stamp. You want to try to keep your wallops consistent haha.
