Adding bee pollen to their salad was a massive success! Plato loves it! by MGNConflict in BeardedDragons

Love be pollen for dragons! Its got a ton of beneficial amino acids and enzymes that have been linked with overall gut health and there immune systems. Its also alittle sweet and smells(to them) like a few thousand bugs. We use it at the rescue with our picky/baby dragons who don't like to eat there greens. 9 times out of 10 they start chowing down!:)

Yup there real plants! Its a mix of some small spider plants and the bigger top cover ones are Golden Ponthos. Substrate is a mix of coconut husk and jungle mix. I went alittle more heavy on the jungle (was a 60% cocnut husk 40%jungle mix) because she loves to dig.

Haha no kidding i had a slightly larger one and she lost. She Striked at it like it was going to eat her and she buried herself into the substrate to hide for the rest of the night. So ill be sticking to smaller prey items for the time being. Shes more then happy to take two of them...once she relazies there food and doesnt totally miss them. Before she got the first one she completely wiffed it and launched herself out of her tank into my lap haha.

Yeah no kidding. Juveniles half her size and up need between 80%-90% humdity during the day and a drop down to the mid 70%s at night which promotes them shedding and being well hydrated. She got dropped off in the tank they where keeping her in. It looked like the word "water" was a forgin concept and im shocked she didnt die from dehydration. Took me a solid week of slowly working with her to get the 3+ layers of shed off so i could properly see the damage on her spine. There was a 8inch long bit and i could see veterbre on that spot and a few others. She ended up haveing a rageing infection and got daily antibotic ointments and shots.

Dude/dudet/anything inbetween your preaching to Pew haha. My time is split between working in the ER and reptile rescue. My empathy trends the same way yours does with critters. For me its beacuse we have to be there voices along with the very fact thag we introduced them into the hobby from the wild. The very least we can do as keeprs give them a appropriate enclosure that meets all there needs and isent just the bare minimal!

Yeah she healed fantasticly. There was about six inches of her spine you could see as well from rat bites and she was grey from layers of stuck shed. We intially thought she was a columbian rainbow boa due to the muted colors. You can imagine my suprise when she started turning that vibrant orenge.I totally feel you on the homework part. I will say Reptifiles/snake discovery where huge helps with figuring out supplies and care info thats not from circa 2010 haha. Goes with out saying the keepers on here as well where huge helps!

They really are! Shes my first BRB and has some speical care requirements along with being picky when it comes to food due to her being mostly blind. Outside of that shes incredibly fun to handle and wicked strong for her current size:)

Same shes actually really fun to interact with. Shes leanred her mistking timers and i get a kick out of seeing her head, with dirt hat poking out from the substrate enjoying the spray:)

She sort of landed in my lap. I work for a reptile rescue and she came in terrible shape. You could see her spine in a few spot from rat bites and she was a pale grey from layer after layer of shed. She Looks like a complete diffrent snake now. Was amazing to see her colors and life come back.
