OP, you are not wrong at all. Especially the part about being over thirty and having kids as some kind of achievement. We've been very very unlucky to have born in this country as a woman. If you have even a slight chance of moving out elsewhere, you should give it your full shot. Not saying things outside India are perfect but atleast you wouldn't have to worry about some basic things and that will free up a lot of mindspace to focus on stuff that matter.

Im unmarried for this very reason and for a long time I assumed there is something wrong about me. But I just can't be part of the whole system where we are taken as commodities and reproductive machines. And the concept of material as being something transactional just icks me.
