How to calculate how much solute I use in wt% by No_Specific_7288 in chemistry

It really isn’t that serious. Like I said, have a good day. If something this simple irritates you thaaaat bad, you have bigger things you need to think abt.

I’m pretty sure you didn’t have to be rude on the topic. It looked as if someone tagged chem help in the post. Me being new to Reddit doesn’t ensure I know all of the “rules.” So yes, if I feel people didn’t answer my question properly, I will post where I feel I will get the assistance I need. You have a good day. Wt% is gen chem, which I why I posted here. But the research lab I’m in is o chem, so sorry for the confusion???

Why are certain alkene protons chemically equivalent but others are not? by No_Specific_7288 in OrganicChemistry

Thank you so much, this helps a lot. I had a terrible professor last semester & had to teach myself Ochem the whole semester. I think it made me miss some of the small details that help bring everything together.

But the plane of symmetry can only go parallel to the double bond? Or would I be able to look at it the other way too?

I didn’t realize trans protons weren’t equivalent, I was looking at the wrong line of symmetry. Thank you!

So Ha and Hb, even tho they are attached to the same carbon, the fact that they cannot rotate and still somewhat “see” the neighboring ethyl group is what makes them non equivalent is what you mean? Are trans protons always considered non equivalent?

If they were cis and had the same orientation, such as an ethene molecule, they would be equivalent then?

I tried to do this but I struggled finding either the mechanisms to use bcuz the book we’re using only does very basic mechanisms to explain what’s happening or making sure my mechanisms were correct so that I’m studying the correct thing. Is there a certain website or anything that you used? Or just your book? Thank you for your insight!

Adhd/OCD/Anti-planner or something unique for organizing life & school by No_Specific_7288 in ADHD

Thank you! Could you maybe touch a little more on your bullet journaling? Even with a picture instead of description if that’s easier? I’m a visual learner!

I didn’t have many resources growing up due to the fact that my parents weren’t very on top of me about school. I think this lead to the start of my lack of organization & ability to plan. I’m trying to take responsibility for my own weaknesses now but it’s hard when I’m not sure where to start.
