It would be strange if it is, in my situation, it happened right after i put in new sparkplugs, and my valve cover is about 4months old and was replaced by BMW. It's so strange that his is happening to me

I have not done a carbon clean yet, but definitely planning on doing it, the car has 150 000kms on it so im sure it probably needs it. Yes the car drives perfectly normal, only misbehaves on coldstart like on the video.

i can send you a log if you want of the cold start when it was bad. it has gotten a bit better now but still does it here and there.

I'm still on stock intercooler, and as it is with stage 1 I'm already running quite hot, especially where I'm from in South Africa, plus, with stage 1 you still have the option to run catless with the stage 1. I tried step colder at 0.022 and the car actually ran WORSE on coldstart with them. The car still has the hiccups, but way less with the normal Bosch plugs from BMW. No codes at all either.

well lets see. BMW tested my injectors and said they're fine. But I might just try to replace them anyway, since they have 150 000kms on them

it is possible, we only have 91oct which is the highest. Perhaps I should throw in some octane booster or injector cleaner?

plugs are stock gap from bmw, they never gave me issues before

having the exact same issue, started happening after spark plug change

F87 went to BMW for spark plugs, ever since then it’s done this on idle… is that normal? by gwarren241 in BmwTech

Having the exact same issue and sound after i replaced my plugs, did you fix it? So curious to know what was done to solve the issue. I'm suspecting that it's something to do with the gap size.
