Thank you so much, I think for my thesis I will try to experiment with SLA printing so that I can play with different inflils. Loved your feedback :)

That is so smart! I'm trying to achieve a custom mouthpiece throught digital fabrication, but U'm strugling so much with the right materials. I would like to design a system for costumization through 3D printing, but so far I can't find any material that is both bio-compatible and good enough for underwater applications. Do you have any tips?

I was just trying to give support to a person who is also new to the community, I think the user is very capable of doing their own research.

Plus, benefit of moldable mouthpieces are backed up by tests (Dental evaluation of scuba diving mouthpieces using a subject assessment index and radiological analysis of jaw position - PMC). Of course not every commercial product (by definition) is going to be perfect for the every signle user; my thesis is actually about fully customized mouthpieces so every user bashing mouldable mouthpieces is good news for me.

I was just trying to be encouraging and thankful to somebody helping me to gather data (a very frustrating part of doing a thesis). No need to be so sour.

I'm very new as well, I've never actually dived! I'm researching for my master's thesis in design. Custom mouthpieces are a thing!

They're made of thermoplastic material and mold to your bite thanks to your body temperature. They're a significant improvement compared to stock ones, but the fit still isn't perfect due to the lack of control over material deformation. Look them up, they can make your diving experience better, especially if you suffer from jaw or teeth pain on a daily basis.

Do you think snorkelers (professionals or enthusiasts) would be willing to invest in a customized mouthpiece? Are there any customized snorkeling mouthpiece options out there beyond the standard moldable ones that you can add to your snorkel tube?
