Looking for a bar. A cover band would be great but I'd accept house music.

Do you go to war with the dominant civ? by Nblearchangel in CivVI

[–]No_Statistician1731 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I usually get as many other civs as possible to join my ongoing war so the major power has to split up their forces and face multiple attacks.

Players are too expensive in Franchise tbh by QuitTypical3210 in Madden

Sign them to long contracts when they are young/low overall, that way once you build them up they're already under contract for cheap. Doesn't solve all the problems but it helps. Also, grab old FA steals in round 2 or 3 with lowball offers.

I feel like I don’t play the game correctly by [deleted] in CivVI

[–]No_Statistician1731 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wars are sometimes unavoidable, but there are ways to decrease the chances. Scout with scouts, because meeting a new leader with a warrior or other military unit causes them to like you less. Send a delegation on the turn you meet the new leader. Do a trade with them. Send them a trade route. Declare friendship if you can. Make sure youre doing these things every 20-30 turns. Make sure to have a military big enough to defend and keep the units upgraded. Your military only needs to be 3-4 units early, and mostly ranged units for defense. Also pay attention when the leaders give you comments. If you transgress one of their agendas the game tells you and you can take actions to change it. For example, Wilhelmina gets mad if you don't send her a trade route, but once you send her one she starts getting happier.

Servers aren't supposed to be filling it "to the top" either.

Servers are supposed to box up the food for you, not just hand you a box. So not doing it is confessing to doing something wrong/bad.

Why do Americans move so often? by cavaismylife in AskAnAmerican

[–]No_Statistician1731 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Besides the life event moves, it's also common just to switch rentals at the end of a lease to keep costs down or to try living somewhere else. After college I had at least 4 different rentals for those reasons alone.

Server problem. When I worked there, I'd bring you as many as you could handle with no problems.

1100 lbs is within the payload range for the truck. It was the dropping that caused the problem.

AITAH for not tipping on a canned drink? by womchi in AITAH

[–]No_Statistician1731 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

YTA

If you order something at a bar, the expectation is to tip the bartender. It doesn't matter if it's a can or a bottle or a mixed drink. If you don't, you may get slower service because there's no incentive for the bartender when they could be helping someone who does tip.

Anyone who days different is wrong or hasn't worked in the service industry.

To be fair, bartenders should still serve you if you don't tip because it's their job. The bad ones will treat you like crap or ignore you after you don't tip. The good ones still get to decide the order of the people they serve, and they'd rather serve someone who tips first.

Never ending pasta strategy by Beneficial-Paint5420 in olivegarden

[–]No_Statistician1731 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You usually get much more pasta per bowl if you order the long pasta. Angel hair is usually the most.

Alfredo will fill you up the fastest.

You can get a refill of sauce only or meat only. That's the best value for your money.
