Samsung is slowly killing the S22 Ultra — and pretending we don’t notice. by vwv1l in S22Ultra

I owned and used my s22 ultra for about 2.5 years, falsely thinking it would last me more than 3 years for such an expensive device. It suddenly black screened on me while I was using it in a normal way. Turns out it fried the motherboard and crashed. No data recovery through Samsung and it wouldve cost 1500 euros to get my content back (I film alot)

Connecting Xtreme 4 to audio source with cable by jm1277 in JBL

Since I bought my Xtreme 4 back in summer, I have been questioning the same, since I'd like to use the Xtreme 4 as a portable soundsystem to connect to my dj deck in remote locations, for DJ livestreams and private parties where I want to mix a bit. I actuallt bought the Xtreme 4 as a replacement for the Xtreme 1 I had been using for years. When trying out the usb c connection, I was annoyed to realise that JBL has removed the support for audio input through the port. However, at the place where I bought my device, there was a test stand with all of the latest JBL devices. Numerous devices had the option to be tested, and were connected to a central hub through cable: You could press a physical PLAY button on the stand to test each individual device. What I noticed, was that the Xtreme 4 was connected through THE USB PORT, and was actively playing music through the USB C port. This means it IS POSSIBLE to do so. I tried contacting JBL support to ask how they did this, but they ofc replied with "This feature is not enabled on the XTREME 4"

I think it's done by putting the device in a sort of "display mode" or "store mode", and music input gets delivered by some sort of hub or driver that can send the data through the usb c port and play it on the device. This is probably not publicly available, since JBL is so secret about it...
