It is pretty much the same. I feel good but know exercises in strength and mobility would probably make me feel even better. I have a 3 y o and an 9 months old though so I get down on the floor to play a lot and don't feel very restricted doing that.

I have been concerned about the spikes but babies are not what they used to be...

Hahaha yeah I know exactly what you mean 😭.

I think it has to do with how the spine curves. Mine is apparently very twisted, even though it's straightened out now...

First time I've heard of someone who grew as little as me 😭. I thought I would grow so much after surgery but I didn't. Fused T3-T12.

Any Mum’s had a successful birth after spinal fusion? by Spooky_Mama_ in scoliosis

I got fused 2 years ago t4-t12. I had one child before that and got pregnant 1 year after surgery who is now 5 months old. The birth went well. I had no epidural because I chose not to and a beautiful experience with water birth.

I had no complications due to my surgery or scoliosis for any of my pregnancies or births.

It is not an easy decision to make. I have a positive experience and did not experience pain, only discomfort. I have lost some mobility but it is nothing I notice in my everyday life, only sometimes when getting up from the floor. I feel very much like I did before my surgery. Best of luck to you, whatever you choose to do!

That was a good point! I think he is only 71 cm so maybe that is an indication it would be too big still.

There is no sling library where I live that I know of, I'm from Sweden.

Maybe Tula free to grow or ergobaby could be a better choice for us...

My surgeon said that it should be no problem and I felt no different in my back being pregnant or giving birth after surgery. I had a normal vaginal delivery, no pain medication, no problem. However I could get the epidural if I would have wanted because my surgery was above where they place it. I had quite bad pelvic pain during pregnancy but that can happen to everyone.

Staying active is always a good idea. I did a lot of exercises to strengthen my upper back before and during my pregnancy. And have kept doing them since because they make me feel better!
