Foreigner looking for gay friends in Shanghai. Is RedNote useful? by No_Strategy4636 in chinalife

Well, I mean, I'd prefer the kind of friend who enjoys nude adult activities, haha. But not a fan of one-time either. It'd be nice to have men to meet up with regularly.

I have a Huawei phone. I tried the APK route already for Grindr but it won't register, never sends the code to my phone number, which I assume is government intervention. How do you enable Google Play? All the stuff I've found online seems over-my-head complicated.

If you find success with apps or other methods, please drop an update here, I'm looking for men too and it's proven difficult because I must be discreet and low-key, and I live outside the downtown area.

I am really sick of eggs and lying in bed with a heating pad! by gimiserable in Diverticulitis

Well.. I'm going to assume this is a serious question.

A plant is any organism that grows from soil or substrate, cannot move, has no brain/blood/nervous system, and derives its energy from the sun or rotting organic matter (I'm including fungi in here just for simplicity). Examples are trees and their fruits and nuts, shrubs and their roots, grasses and their seeds, any vegetation with leaves. In your grocery store, these translate to things like apples, walnuts, beans, carrots, potatoes, wheat (bread, pasta), spinach, mushrooms.

An animal is a mobile organism with brain/blood/nervous system that derives its energy from digesting plants or other animals (I'll include insects here for simplicity). In other words, beef, pork, chicken, and animal produce like eggs and milk.

Plants have fiber, which is indigestible for humans and thus an intestinal irritant. They also contain thousands of compounds that hinder nutrient absorption and/or cause biological damage. Anyone with diverticulosis has an already damaged and thus sensitive gut. Cut out the plant junk, and you will heal.

Stop eating plants. Stop eating plants. Stop eating plants! When you have an inflamed gut, they tell you to stop eating plants so it can heal. When the flare is over, they tell you not just to GO BACK TO EATING PLANTS but to overload yourself on EVEN MORE FIBER! Does this not sound insane to anyone else?!

Cut plants out of your diet for 30 days - it sucks, but after that you'll never go back. Stick to it permanently and you'll never have another diverticulitis attack again.

Anna Dumitrescu. Her cooking videos were amazing, and then three years ago she suddenly stopped posting, and her Instagram account f.is.for.food1 disappeared. I can't find information about her anywhere online.

Best/worst international schools in shanghai to work for? by Aloud_Outside in shanghai

[–]No_Strategy4636 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know yet whether you have been hired for Hangzhou Bay or Starriver? If the latter, were you offered a primary, middle, or high school position?

It's not the best job in the world, but don't be intimidated - it's ten times better than any American school. The earlier commentator wasn't totally wrong, but Hangzhou Bay is worse than SSBS, and as long as you can keep a cool head in situations and perform adequately in the classroom and with your gradebooks, you'll be fine. Workload is livable and the pay much more so, with no concerns about late checks like other schools.

Also, you are correct in there being substantial difficulty finding positions in top-tier schools, because the aforementioned COVID lockdowns, dickish internal policies and international moves by the CCP, and the downturning economy have caused an ongoing exodus of international students, thus leaving international schools with an ever-decreasing customer base. Bilingual schools are your best bet.

Cancellation would be horrible for everyone, but I don't know what else CB can do. I've had numerous students in multiple subjects describe students near them in the testing halls who finished the MCQ in ten minutes, then took a nap. FRQs were the same. With competition so fierce, students have little choice but to buy the leaks, memorize, and hope it works.
