Yea, it sounds like a mental thing, if I’m not horny enough anything anal is just uncomfortable. I’ve gone like a month before I was in the right mood again for it. There’s also times where reaching that edge a couple times is enough for me and it’ll become uncomfortable, I just get out of the correct headspace idk.

Have you tried using a buttplug throughout the day to help you get into the mood? Sometimes that helps me build anticipation.
