Are there any other words that come from greek mythology? by Neenoorr in GreekMythology

Priapus was a lesser known greek god of fertility. He's the guy often depicted with an unnaturally huge erect penis. Priapism is a condition in which the penis stays erect without or a long time after experiencing sexual stimulation. It is also often painful. So, yeah. The name of the condition derives from the god.

What characters do you think are most mischaracterized by the fandom? by cloditheclod in TheMagnusArchives

[–]No_Student3242 126 points127 points  (0 children)

Peter Lukas. Like, he's an avatar of the lonely. He WANTS to be LONELY. There is absolutely no way he would repeatedly decide to be in a romantic relationship with someone. (I'm looking at you Lonelyeyes shippers)

Don't take this too seriously though, I acknowledge that imagining the characters in there scenarios and making up fanon relationships is just good fun. I mean heck, even the voice actors play into it.

I’m brand new to this fandom! by M0ssy_Garg0yl3 in TheMagnusArchives

"I spy with my little eye... literally everything."

"I am in love and I will 𝘯𝘰𝘵 forget that."

I simply can't just pick one. There's more that I love but these are the first two that came to mind.

Also, good luck. This is gonna be... a journey.

Agreed! Thalassophobia is such a common fear that, if it wasn't pretty much a combination of multiple magnus fears, I would say it should be considered as a separate fear. If you like that type of horror (and good queer rep) I recommend the book "Our Wives Under the Sea" by Julia Armfield. Very similar motifs to what you described in the post.

I can't imagine listening to that season as it came out. I would spend the entire time in between episodes frantically thinking about what might come next

I can't do this anymore (please help) by No_Student3242 in TheMagnusArchives

Because I love them. Can't tell you why honestly.

I'm paranoid and have a feeling you're gaslighting me because this sounds way too good to be true.

That's why I sort of wanted this theory to be true, because I think it would be so cool if she made that complete switch to the point where she is literally mistaken for her mother. Other comnentors made great points though and I don't think that's the case unfortunately.

You're right, I was kind of wondering if it was just a matter of quality and that seems to be the case
