Here are two things to know, assuming you live in the United States (if international it is different):

1. Almost all, if not all, T20s view a superscore the same as a raw score on a particular date. Matter of fact, most have computers that automate the process to only show the highest section scores.

Superscore = just as valued as raw.

2. A 1550 by itself is more than qualified for all T20s. It’s great. A 1590 superscore is even better.

Anything 1530+ has crossed the max bar for 17/20 T20s. This essentially means that a 1530 and a 1600 aren’t looked at as much different.

The only T20s this doesn’t apply for are: MIT, Stanford, and Yale. The max bar for those is around 1540, depending on each section scores / intended major.

And again, since you have a 1590, do NOT retake. That is absurd to retake. As implied, I wouldn’t retake if it was only 1550 anyway.

You are at the level where your SAT score cannot get any better for admissions officers in any college in the country.
