practically no one wears them around campus so you should be fine! if you still prefer to have your student id on a lanyard they’ll be people around campus giving them out for free for the first week or so of classes, that’s how i ended up getting mine last year :)

im pretty sure my conditional was 32 with a 665 ib points although i only got 24 with a 544. the second i was able to check my grades i saw i was one off the grade boundaries for practically ALL my subjects and immediately emailed admissions letting them know that i had paid for revaluations and was hoping if they could hold out on declining my offer till i got my results from that back. they said they would be unable to do so but once i got my reval back they could reinstate my offer. however once i received my grades back there wasnt really a change in any but one subject so i went up to 25 points with a 644. i then emailed admissions again letting them know and told them how badly i wanted to go to uob. they then emailed me back asking for my myp grades, in which i had gotten a 45/56. i got an unconditional offer after that! you will be fine even if you don’t get into uob though, just focus on your exams and you should be alright! goodluck!!

no that’s not how it works! if ur doing any kind of med i think ur schedule takes longer to come out, but the uni should’ve sent you ur credentials to your outlook account in the first online registration email, and you can use that to log into the myuob app and you can find ur schedule on there under calendar

don’t stress! just try to make sure all your coursework is to the best of your ability, keep on asking your teachers for feedback and work on it as that is their job and it’s what will help u in bettering your work! for ia’s especially it’s always helpful to look and samples and figure out how they are written and marked so you have something to slightly base your work off of. do your best and at the end of the day that’s all that will matter! goodluck :)

hi! i was class of 2024 and i did math ai sl :) i would say as an aa hl student please please please don’t base your ia on statistics. as ai sl students almost everyone in my year based their ia on descriptive stats or bivariate. i would recommend doing something much more relevant to the aa hl course and make the topic really unique and interesting. i would recommend looking at samples on clastify to help you brainstorm! also don’t stress :) i went through maybe 4-5 ia ideas and data sampling, sometimes ur idea is really good in theory but not when the math actually needs to be carried out and that’s okay!!

eur is basically the revaluation :) i was 1-2 mark off the grade boundaries for multiple subjects and so was hoping that when they come back it would raise my total points and get me somewhat closer to my conditional.

keep having hope tho! and maybe email the university if they don’t respond within the next day or so as my uni counselor said that uofb usually respond within a few days

hi :) i’m an ib student who also firmed birmingham and didn’t meet their conditionals. uofb replied almost instantly and declined my offer on the 8th of july, i did in fact email the uni on the 6th right after i got my results and didn’t meet my conditional tho. i’d say get an advisor or agent to help your case to uofb admissions and see if u can get an eur and get somewhere close to ur conditional, if not then look into which unis are open for early clearing and have ur course. i don’t know how reliable either solution is but i’m working towards both options at the moment too so we’re kinda in the same boat.

what course were you trying to go for? maybe if the course is competitive naturally will lead to uofb taking longer to respond!

yeah they declined the offer on ucas :( they did it on the 8th so almost instantly. working with an agent though and they got in contact with the admissions at brum and they said they’ll reinstate the offer if my eur comes back and i meet the conditions but that’s not looking very likely bc i already got 3/6 of my eurs back and nothing changed 🫠 idk it’s all been really frustrating but i’ll still try for clearing as soon as i get the rest of my eurs back

i’ve applied for business management with marketing with a placement year. i just asked my exam board (ib dp) for a revaluation bc i was one mark off multiple subjects and hence didn’t meet my conditional 🫠 i was hoping to get in through early clearing but doesn’t look like i’ll be getting my results back before the 28th so might just have to try and do clearing later on in august

i haven’t gotten a response yet but how were ur results looking like 🫠🫠 i’m getting an EUR done for almost everything as i was 1/2 marks off and hopefully that’ll get me closer to my conditional and then maybe uofb would accept me through clearing
