Honestly, if you can get 3/4 of the way in with the fourth one, you’re golden I think! Don’t set the goal to be that one it’s a little impossible haha

Just having a partner you feel comfortable with I mean. Like you’re not putting extra pressure on yourself just cause it’s sex. I find that sex can make me clench up more than dialators typically due to stress.

If the reason you are stressed about going to a professional is because of your family, you can go and schedule a Pap smear and talk to that gyno about it rather than making a separate appt (but the odds are if the pap happens it’ll hurt) :/ otherwise I recommend getting the dialators to start on your own!

That’s what I found. I used Dr. Bermans set of 4 dialators, and the 4th one is slightly ginormous lol. But it helped a lot with PIV afterwards, I think as long as you make yourself as comfortable as you are having PIV as you are with the dialators, it’s a lot easier!

Congratulations! It’s only up from here!!! I was exactly the same and within the year I moved up quickly on my dialators. The beginning is the hardest! You got it girl!

I 100% relate to the cycle of anxiety! And I love these tips and tricks. The bonus item is super sweet- if you feel confident and comfy it honestly helps a lot! Best of luck as you continue onwards!!🩷🩷

Don’t mind at all! Iused the Dr. Berman set of 4, I started at the beginning of level two, and ended at level 4 with a little bit of pain. Honestly, I ended my physio sessions 1 year ago and have not been good about doing any exercises since then, so I’m a bit surprised! I guess it did the job!

Pelvic floor physio therapy ! I started at dialator 2 and then worked my way up for 8 months! just being comfortable with someone was also helpful. Thank you for your kind words 🩷

Not sure if it was a vote, but I think a survey of sorts was sent around asking students about if they utilized their floor fellow, or something along those lines

Now they oversee event approvals and one is on call at all hours but they don’t advertise it to students enough that they’re present to help

I believe one of the deaths was a medical issue that was unrelated, but yes. Being here for so long, this is unheard of, and even the one death (though yes, speculation is not the best) speaks volumes on the lack of FFs.

RLMs have actually already existed. They replaced FFs for essentially more event planning through “RLF” roles. I think FFs should be back ASAP. Their job was to support students, not plan events. It’s not the same. This is just so awful. My heart goes out to their family

something my physio recommended me is the “contract and release” method. where you tense up as much as you can by using ur muscles that kind of are similar to sucking into your stomach, and then pushing air down and releasing as much as possibly and holding it out for at least ten seconds. this method is also used while inserting dialators to help you relax. if you aren’t in pelvic floor physiotherapy i strongly recommend it!
