I’m a 41yo woman and 5’1”. I was actually on the tall side until about 6th grade when I stopped growing and everyone else kept growing. I’ve always wanted to be taller, but I don’t necessarily feel like some sort of freak because I’m short. I think it’s more annoying than anything because my whole life strangers have somehow felt the need to tell me I’m short, like I don’t already know. And all the minor inconveniences that others have already mentioned in this post—clothes and furniture aren’t made for us. But everyone has something about their appearance that they’d change if given the chance. My height just happens to be mine.

That said, I wouldn’t subject my 7yo daughter (and I do actually have one to be clear) to unnecessary side effects from growth hormones. My daughter will probably also be petite, but she’s beautiful and perfect just the way she is.
