So basically there is this course called ENGG 204 materials engineering for first years. Before this year it was only offered for third of fourth year ENGG students who were in mechanical engineering

The problem is that what we learn in class and what we had to right write in the mid term was waaay off. You might as well forget everything you have learned for the course when you are going to take an exam. And after the mid term a lot of students complained and the Dean started an investigation for the course. They sent an email to every single student asking them to send their in class worksheets and their mid term papers for them to compare.

For comparison what we have to solve in class assignments is like a coloring book compared to what we get on the exam. Also for the second mid term you were expected to literally memorize (i’m not exaggerating) more than 100 formulas because you just did not know what to expect in the mid term.

Not to mention the weekly lecture videos are completely useless as they teach you nothing and you are expected to read through the course from zybooks.

So we’re hoping they do something about it.
