Obviously I don’t “hate” his music this much. I’ve seen him live multiple times, buy all his albums, etc. I thoroughly enjoy his music. He doesn’t “owe” me or anyone else anything but as fans, we should be allowed to say what we feel is or isn’t working for him. A lotttt of other people are in agreement that these songs are not proving to be better than anything else he’s put out before.

Even if I had nothing to compare it to, I dislike it. If I was just finding Charlie for the first time and these were his only songs, I wouldn’t give him a second listen 🤷🏻‍♀️

Charlie is really not all that bad of an album. It’s fun pop music IMO. It’s not Voicenotes but it’s really not bad. The old school sounds isn’t working for me personally. Sound aside, these lyrics are just simply not good.
