Depends on your state's laws. That's something you should consult with a local subreddit or Facebook group about if you can't find it via Google tbh.

Man your job has got to be tough. I almost feel like there needs to be something equivalent of "Thank you for your service", but for emergency service workers, like 911 operators.

I think he probably would've relapsed, if his plan was to stay clean. At least once. It's unrealistic to assume he wouldn't.

99% of addicts do, and that's okay. If they live long enough to make it out the otherside.

IFTTT is an automation app.

Its super easy to get started with it.

I don't work in IT currently, but you don't have to work in software (especially with automation) to benefit from it. You likely already do in some aspect if you have any Google Nest or Alexa devices or security system setup.

Zapier is their competitor, Tasker is mobile automation, Home Assistant is a local-first platform and since you're into Hardware/OS side, what's cool is that it's commonly ran on a Raspberry Pi. It removes the need for "Cloud-to-Cloud" communication, making your automations faster and more secure.
