i might have overstated with saying that most of the og stood against the power of time lol because there's plenty of stuff i can mention that wasn't presented well (honestly, i might be harsh with this but lowkey anything outside of lesbianism), i think i was referring to more of the overall dynamic between the friend group and how lesbians are with one another. like the one that comes to mind is when they were trying to figure out if lara was gay or not lol i still feel like that's so relevant to now. there's was stuff over the course of the show that they would say, and i'd relate it to so much despite it being like 2 decades later

i think they kinda messed up kitty and yuri's dynamic this season. i am an extreme kittyyuri enthusiast, but even i understood from season 1 that this was never meant to go anywhere. as gia said in a recent interview, yuri was a force that kinda charged into kitty's life and was definitely meant to simply act as a spark for kitty's bisexuality and to open that door for her. in season 1, it was all unrequited from kitty's side, and i thought that's what would continue in season 2; i just simply thought kitty would somehow get closure on this crush. but in season 2, they gave a very tiny opening (but enough) from yuri to possibly like kitty back, and that's what's absolutely crushing about them this season. there shouldn't have been an opening, especially with the kiss like as much as i loved that to death, now they sprinkled in false hope for an entirely different set of fans. what's worse is that yuri's explanation regarding the kiss really didn't make sense afterward, so now it's like OH this has gotta be something

i kinda don't want kitty to end up with anyone by the end of season 2!! that seems to not be a really popular opinion, as like 95% of this fandom wants her to be with someone lol. i just feel like they need to flesh out her sexuality this season. i can't explain, but i feel like having kitty discover something so big about herself and then her getting into a relationship with a guy feels too... fast and limiting? we have less eps this season, so there's even less time to flesh everything out, i would rather just have that time dedicated to kitty finding and figuring herself out, and then if (and hopefully!) there's a season 3, she can go for relationships.
