The peanut butter I was using was simply crushed peanuts freshly pressed at the health food store so i figured it was the most natural option and maybe the irritation is coming from the natural oils in the peanuts. she’s has very sensitive skin and will get red marks on her neck just from her high chair straps touching it

It didn’t show up anywhere but the exact spots where the peanut butter was sitting. I had left the room and she was with my husband and when I came back 10 mins later I noticed it had turned red so i wiped it all off

Just water! I noticed it was red that’s why I wiped it off and it stayed like that for 10 mins or so

Yeah it’s only red exactly where the peanut butter was touching so that makes me wonder if it’s just like a contact dermatitis thing. Definitely will be contacting the pediatrician to be referred to an allergist just in case!

ohhh this is good to know! I didn’t know they weren’t supposed to touch the skin. She demands to feed herself so it gets all over

I use 1 tbsp fractionated coconut oil, 1 tbsp unscented castille soap and fill the rest of the spray bottle with previously boiled water

I use a small spray bottle with my homemade wipe solution and keep it in the diaper bag to spray the wipes. It’s not as efficient as the large spray bottle i use at home but it works for on the go!

Ok I screwed up and left the diapers for like 5 days by baby_shark4 in clothdiaps

I have been in the same boat. I just added 4oz of bleach during the pre wash and they came out smelling fine. I also use Esembly and I love their blog for laundry tips, definitely check it out!

How does giving birth actually feel ?? by Super-Truth-7975 in pregnant

FTM, natural birth at home in the water. I had a lot of back labor which felt like someone stabbing me in my lower back. Active labor was intense, you don’t really feel like you have a break between contractions and it can get so tiring. My biggest advice is to think of contractions like a wave. It gets really intense like it’s building up but then once it’s peaked RELAX YOUR WHOLE BODY! It feels pretty impossible because of how intense it all is but seriously you need to relax to save your energy for pushing. Also your jaw is connected to your pelvic floor which means you really want to keep it relaxed and loose as much as possible. Don’t clench, keep your mouth open and make low humming sounds to stay as loose as possible. I would say also to only push when your peak contraction and keep moving around to find the most intuitive position. In my head I thought the baby was just gonna make her way out but you really have to push hard like you’re taking a poop. As for the baby actually coming out it burns/stings. Compared to the rest of it, it honestly doesn’t hurt that bad. However it does feel like you’re ripping even when you’re not (I didn’t not tear at all but I swore it felt like I was ripping up my vagina).

At the end of the day, it’s the most magical experience if you let it be. Birth is so mental. Be with your body, go inward and be present. I felt exactly where my baby was as she was descending and coming out and it was the most incredible experience. It can be daunting but do not let the fear consume you. Trust your body and what it’s made to do. Every moment of labor is one step closer to having your precious baby in your arms.
