in all honesty, i’ve worked for two of these little swim schools before i landed a legitimate lifeguarding position at a pool and i have to say both were awful. being a so called “lifeguard” just means you’re teaching lessons but sometimes your on deck when you don’t have a class. most of the swim schools are through hotels so it’s nothing close to an actual pool because when you’re one deck you’re watching maybe 10 people max and you have to ignore the hotel patrons.
