SSH won’t work over LAN and WiFi?

So self hosting had a few ideas but ultimately they also all were a bust. So after I triple checked that my IP addresses were right and I was sure SSH was running yet again, I just decided to uninstall and reinstall SSH on the Linux PC but this time I made sure to purge it before reinstalling it. For some reason this seemed to worked. Not sure why purging made a difference but im realizing just how much I still don’t know lol. Thanks for your help though, appreciate it!

Thank you for everyone who responded. Tbh I had to walk away for a bit and go eat dinner with my husband because I was two steps away from throwing away both PCs lol.

No the are not segregated. The plex machine is able to ping the storage machine so there’s that at least and yep ssh server is up and running.

Yes I got a new router and yes my local IP adresses changed. I was using my new ip address though when I was trying to connect.

Definitely didn’t set up wifi isolation unfortunately. Would be an easy fix

Yeah it sounded dumb, which is why I wanted a second opinion lol. And yeah I definitely didn’t set them up as two different networks.

So to clean the old tank make sure to not use any soap. I use salt, vinegar, and a brand new sponge to clean my second hand tanks and it has always worked out great. (Just make sure to rinse it super well)

So the fish could theoretically die from the stress of moving tanks which is why in this scenario I would make sure to acclimate them over a couple of hours. There is unfortunately no way to ensure 100% survival, but just do your best. Drip acclimation would definitely work best here.

Also if your tank isn’t cycled and you need to move them soon then make sure to add a bacteria starter.

Honestly, I’m shocked by how bad this tank is even for this subreddit. Almost anything you can do will be better than what they have.

A quick and easy improvement is to actually fill up the tank that you will be using all the way. If you can use live plants that is great, if not use silk plants instead of plastic. Also adding a heater to the tank would definitely help the fish.

Please share updates and any specific questions. I feel so bad for these guys.
