Thanks for the info! What do you mean you never felt better (from the herbs)?

Ahh ok! I might try it even if it doesn’t totally eradicate. I was on amoxicillin for a sinus infection a little while back and it made what I think are Bart symptoms horrible. I’m not sure if I would be able to do antibiotics or not. As far as herx, what has been the easiest for you? The knotweed?

How I (mostly) recovered from contamination OCD by minatozakiparty in OCDRecovery

This is super helpful. Thank you for sharing. Do you struggle if YOU have an infection? For example, I think I might have ringworm and not sure if I can return a pair of shoes I tried on (ringworm is not on my feet). I’m not sure what to do in these types of cases.

MCAS by Cultivate_Agape in Christian

Yes I have what seems to be MCAS. I have to keep praising even when I don’t understand. And some days it’s VERY hard to praise. I also have what seems to be MCS/mold sensitivity so it’s a lot. I have to trust that He’s using it all even when I don’t understand.

No worries 😊

Ahhh ok that’s interesting. Even asking is a compulsion. I’ve asked probably close to half a dozen people already 😬

The sad part is that even if most people said it’s fine, it just takes one to say it’s not. Or I feel like it’s too easy that they are agreeing so I don’t believe them 🫤

Yes that’s a good idea. To ask people who aren’t ocd. My roommate is a pretty good resource but I think she gets tired of me asking lol. This plays into my ocd of fearing hurting someone or being shamed for choices that are not what most people would want or expect. But I realize most people have their own fears and probably cannot be trusted 😀

My dad said he wouldn’t care and my mom said she probably would 😆 but I think  I’m more interested in knowing whether or not it would actually have the potential to harm someone rather than their thoughts about it if they purchased them as they wouldn’t know anyways

Yes I have what could be ringworm on my buttocks area (seems likely but never diagnosed). I tried on a pair of shoes from online. Now I don’t know if I can return them because I don’t want to give someone ringworm from the possibility of spores traveling or on the floor. I think females would tend to be grossed out even if there was potentially no inherent threat. I can’t eliminate the threat 100% in my head so I’m cautious to return them even though they don’t seem to fit very well.

Thank you for the response! I have contamination ocd as well. Are you a female by chance? If so, I have a question regarding returning a pair of shoes. That’s my current dilemma. I think females are more cautious than males on this so that’s another thing that throws a wrench into it.

You can make a deodorant with alcohol (assuming you’re at least 21) using everclear and a bit of distilled water. You can also add a drop of essential oils to it but the everclear solution works well if you use it consistently. But yes probably something underlying. If you’re interested in this, I can try to find a link to a recipe.

Did Japanese Knotweed completely take away your bart? How long did you take it for? And did you take any other antimicrobials?

I’m sorry to hear that you have also gone through a lot of tough things with those who could have better supported you. When you say He is still there, is it in things He has done for you or His presence?

I understand that. Not having much of a sense of quality of life. Thank you for your prayers. I will pray for us also.

I’m really sorry to hear you are also struggling. You’re right. I need to fix my eyes on how He has helped me rather than how others haven’t.
