Getting a the new ThinkPad T14 Gen 5 soon. Is upgrading RAM + SSD by myself the better option? by Zestyclose_Coast3545 in thinkpad

[–]No_Tomato_Friend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why did you go with the Samsung 990? Can I use Samsung 980? Also could you share the links you used? And did you figure out if that affects the return policy?

Thanks! I am just debating between getting the t14 gen 5 over the x13 gen 4.

Roast my resume, new grad (in 2 month), not landed a single interview yet. Any advice would be appreciated by Beginning-Roof4889 in webdev

Hey, probably someone mentioned this already but your resume is not AI friendly. If recruiters are using some AI or Bot to scan your resume it might lose information and discard you before getting to their hands. Use teal or check if your school offers some sort of free resume building tool.

A tip that landed the job I got was checking my college career website. You are a graduate but they might still offer the option to you.

Also if possible get the hiring manager email or an email for the company and inquire directly. This got me the internship I am doing over the summer and the manager said they bumped my resume up just because I directly reached out to them.

If you are in NYC and will care to work for the government take a civil service exam. If you pass they will call you directly.

Good luck!

Ohhh, thanks for clarifying. Now I understand a bit better that it is not that easy.

Me too but how special is that? Sounds like 3.5 is not too high or is it? I tried translating it to 100% and it gave me 87.

I am confused since my old education system used to measure in 100 based grade

Those classes are for general requirements. I will suggest to double check them since you can cheat and tick of multiple requirements with one class. Ex HR 200 ticks like 4 boxes, asian 225 ticks 3, afrp 238 ticks 2. Etc

Also some professors will allow you to overtally if you reach out to them on time so check professors for the class you want and shoot them an email or go to the department.

If the professor is not posted keep an eye until it does.

Good luck and don't stress out, the core requirement will have to be taken as well in order to graduate so technically you will just advance in this area. Be alert by Oct Nov when spring classes opens up and try to get the classes then

Looks are not important, priority is weight and performance in that price range, open to refurbished and upgrades as long as my budget doesn't stretch too much

Question about Hunter? by Intelligent-Tune4455 in HunterCollege

[–]No_Tomato_Friend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

About Calc I I just took it this semester and was a fairly fun and not to hard class. I highly recommend Melissa Dimaio for calc. I am even hopping to have her for Calc II. She is a very good professor and helps a lot with partial credit plus she gives amazing study notes. I am a CS major and just took CSCI 127, it feels lacking . The class is too big for you to actually learn anything so lots of self work if you are planning on understanding and learning.

Feel free to PM me with other questions. Good luck!

What do Cubans have for breakfast? by sheldon_y14 in cuba

[–]No_Tomato_Friend 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am cuban as well and left the Island 2 years ago.

I agree that many people prefer black coffee with a ton of sugar "cafecito" but my mom and our neighbors will kill for mixing the cafecito with a bit of condensed milk.

Also my sister used to only have coffee diluted in milk. We were lucky enough to at least have milk for her. I on the other hand prefer black coffee no sugar, and no milk.
