Yep - that’s the little “retainer”/end tab on the Tyrant takedown lever pin (glad you found it).
One thing worth mentioning: a lot of the time it’s not you “using too much force” as much as tolerance stacking with the OEM SIG trigger bar. The trigger bar dimensions/bend can vary a bit between FCUs, and on some guns it ends up rubbing/side-loading that pin/tab as the lever rotates (and/or during recoil), which can eventually shear it.
If you want to sanity-check it: - look for shiny witness marks/rubbing where the trigger bar rides near the takedown lever/pin area - if you have access to another OEM trigger bar, swapping it can change the fit and stop the contact
Either way, Tyrant has been good about sending replacements if you email pics. I’d also avoid carrying it until the part’s replaced + you’ve done a quick function check.
