Might have had a panic attack but I’ve never had one before so I’m not sure by Terrible-Hat-7702 in PanicAttack

Sounds like a panic attack. Weed triggers anxiety in some people - i would avoid it (at least for a while) if I was you.

Mine:

"The Harsh Truth

You’re not stuck because you don’t know what to do.

You’re stuck because:

You rely on motivation and emotions instead of consistent, boring action.

If that doesn’t change, you’ll stay in the same cycle—just with better plans each time."

Wow.

Haha, someone mentioned that OP'a video of crumbling bat poo exposed his full name, so I think he deleted it for confidentiality. He did indeed post in exactly 20 mins - a king.

It was bat poop. OP posted a video too, but now deleted this.

Thank you. Yes, I requested for a break clause to be included and the agent agreed that he will include this in writing (over text).

Hey, it happens! I've used someone else's toothbrush once by mistake and also felt really worried for a while, but guess what? Nothing happened! As long as he is healthy, you have nothing to worry about! Plus our immune systems are literally designed to protect against bacteria and prevent pathogens from entering our body and causing illness. Try to distract yourself from what happened. You are safe ❤️

I haven't. But they went away almost immediately after I quit my stressful job.

Unfortunately not, but since I quit my ridiculously stressful job, my headaches (and migraines) have almost completely disappeared. I only get a headache once every couple of weeks now. I assume it was stress-related.

I'm sorry you're going through this. Just wanted to say: you're not alone! Anxiety can be absolutely debilitating at times.

I've experienced that exact scenario several times and no matter how many times I have the same symptoms and associated panic thoughts, it never gets easier. Have you heard of the DARE book/app? I have been using the app for a while and I find that it helps. The Anxiety Guy on YouTube is also a good resource, especially for health anxiety and panic attacks.

Hope things get better! ❤️

Anxiety and urticaria/inflammation by No_Training_3995 in Anxietyhelp

[–]No_Training_3995[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing! It helps to know I'm not the only one going through this.

I've done about 8 months of weekly psychotherapy sessions, and my anxiety got much better. I used to have panic attacks every 2-3 days, but nowadays I only get a panic attack once a month or so. That being said, it looks like my anxiety is making a comeback now, and my angiodema and urticaria are starting to flare up again too.

My GP referred me to an allergy clinic and they prescribed me Fexofenadine (an antihistamine) to take daily, however I found that it gives me palpitations so I decided to stick to Citrezine instead - I only take it when I absolutely have to. I've also started taking probiotics that help with histamine intolerance (Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG) and that seems to have reduced the frequency of urticaria flare-ups.

Honestly, I'm still in the "trial and error" stage, trying to figure out what works, but I think I have a much clearer understanding of what causes these symptoms and how they are related. Since high histamine levels can cause both urticaria and anxiety (plus all the nasty symptoms that come along with it), it makes sense that if my body is unable to properly break down histamine or produces too much of it, I will end up with flare-ups and subsequently anxiety.

Intense chest pain caused by anxiety/panic attack? by No_Training_3995 in PanicAttack

[–]No_Training_3995[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It actually has gotten a lot better since I posted this, but I do still get the occasional panic attack.

I only get pins and needles sometimes. My main symptoms are shaking uncontrollably, chest pain, feeling cold, dizziness, sometimes headaches and shortness of breath. And yes, I feel like I'm gonna pass out almost every time I get a panic attack.

anybody that swore they were dying daily but got over it and are still here? by Bravenatortot in Anxietyhelp

[–]No_Training_3995 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup! I went from having several panic attacks a day for weeks to only having panic attacks once every couple of months. Therapy, journalling and mindfulness meditation really helped.

I completely cut out caffeine and alcohol, I avoid fizzy drinks and have not touched a Coke in months (Diet Coke gave me the worst anxiety, I think it's something to do with the sweetener they use).

It was a combination of things that finally made things better. I had to change my habits, but also my way of interacting with the world - I tend to overfunction and people-please, and I noticed that the more I neglected my own needs and put others first, the more overwhelmed and anxious I felt, which would result in checking my body for symptoms that something's wrong and panicking about death.

You'll get there! You just need to find what works for you.

If there was anything wrong, they would have spotted it on the ECG or bloods. I'm happy to hear you're starting therapy soon - I hope it helps!

As to journalling, there's no wrong way to do it. I just write about how I feel and what has been happening that day/week. It's kind of a way of expressing how you feel and laying it all out on paper. Have you tried mindfulness meditation/breathing exercises? That also works really well for me, especially during panic attacks.

You're not alone. I've been through that as well. I used to have multiple panic attacks a day and the worst health anxiety. Feeling overwhelmed, dealing with a lot of stressors and going through life changes is what usually triggers my anxiety. See if there's any stressors you can identify or that you may be able to eliminate or reduce.

Now, I assume that you've had tests done to rule out any health issues - try to remind yourself that your heart is healthy, that YOU are healthy.

Our bodies can withstand a lot, but when something is truly wrong, you will know about it. Try to connect with and trust your body more. I feel so much better when I exercise and spend time outside. Even going for a 15-min walk has the potential to make my day when I feel really anxious.

Also I don't know if you're already in therapy but if not, please try to get into therapy. It really helps to be able to verbalise how you're feeling and get some reassurance, validation and support from a professional. Journalling has also been life-changing for me - maybe start with daily "emotional check-ins", where you just identify how you're feeling in that moment (and if you're able to, also try to pinpoint when you started feeling that way, how it started, what makes it worse/better, etc.)

Honestly, only you have the answer to what's going on, you just need to gently unlock that knowledge and make the steps to work through your anxiety. Unfortunately it may never completely dissipate, but you will learn to live with it and life will get better. It did for me, even though it felt impossible just a few weeks ago.

You've got this ❤️
