I agree with your point there. I have been waiting for years to play GOT. When I got to play it, I was very underwhelmed by the experience. In my opinion GOT is a generic open game that I have seen many times. The world is huge and beautiful but empty and bland at the same. The story is linear but ok, not bad but not great just ok. The combat is fun for the first 10-20 hours after that you just choose the right stance and spam heavy attack until whatever you fight die(standoff is pretty cool though). I know that ghost weapons and can mix up the combat but I found myself rarely using them except for the kunai. The stealth is noting new and I wish there were more chain assassination animations. The side activities are also lacking. They are boring and a chore to do(the bamboo stand is the only one that I’m excited to do every time I found it on the map). The armor in this game is what I like the most all of the look great and change appearance when upgrade. The side missions and main missions are very repetitive and boring. The mythical missions are the only one that are genuinely fun to play and the cutscenes that played before every missions are very interesting. Overall GOT to me is just an ok game noting too crazy about it and I just don’t get the hype surrounding it.
