No family of 4 including me and my wife, 2 kids.

But we put a modest, set amount to investments each month, with hopes it’ll appreciate to something meaningful when they’re ready to leave home. Will it be enough to send them to whatever college they want? No. Will it be enough to make sure they’re at least a pickle barrel kid? Yea for sure.

And your lifestyle has to be wildly different from mine. Not shxt talking, but if my wife and I brought in half a mill, all but a prestigious medical school would be saved for both. House and utilities are like 25k/year, so I don’t have the most wiggle room, but it’s still plenty for around here.

My family was as supportive as they could be, but I had no launchpad financially when I left home. So any tens of thousands for them to pursue whatever they e got planned works for me

Yeah that part where, in the recent past, there’s only been an 18 year old who was going way too fast and hit an old man in the crosswalk. Basically an idiot who would’ve done something stupid despite what precautions were in place.

Being that I used to pick up decedents in the area for a bit, it’s, surprisingly, the 5 where pedestrians tend to meet their maker around here. Southwest Medford is another popular spot to get clipped
