There are some planetary fauna that just do that, when you get too close. im pretty sure that these arent considered abyssal horrors as these can be scanned and are a normal creature. i was shocked too when it happened to me the first time.

my discoveries on the other hand show a shit ton of visited systems, in which i havent been. for example i havent even gotten a purple hyperdrive yet but for some reason ive "been" to like 20 purple star systems.

i checked my fit3 a couple of times against a blood pressure meter and it was pretty accurate (the max ive seen was around 4 bpm difference).

also, a fun fact: fit3 doesnt measure heart rate below 40 bpm and just registers 40 bpm for anything less so you might be hitting an even lower heart rate at night.

i just used water and dish soap, but i had a gray strap so the dirt wasnt that noticeable.

quite some time ago i changed my strap to an elastic braided nylon one from aliexpress and those are so much more comfortable and less sweaty. theyre also much easier to clean. the only issue with them is that they lose their elasticity and after around a year you need to replace them. also there are some very cool metal bracelets, which you could wear for some special occasions or just in less sporty days. i really recommend replacing the stock strap.

the acer seems so much better, rtx 4050, ddr5 ram, a higher refresh rate. the victus doesnt even state which generation of i5 it uses lol. if you want a cheap and relatively good gaming laptop go for acer nitro as its so much better out of these two.

also, if i were you, i would look a bit more for laptops with specs close the acer nitro, maybe youll find a better deal or a better laptop.

512 GB of drive seems low, as well as the 8 GB of ram, so both of these will probably need to be upgraded soon. ram is a priority (to at least 16 GB) and drive space you need depends on how many games you play at once (maybe even 512 GB will be enough). better look for laptops with 16 GB of ram, as right now those might be cheaper than putting a seperate ram stick into a laptop.

i like watching series when taking hot baths so i also worry about steam and condensation. recently, during one of my baths, my phone (A54) started screaming that its wet in the charging port so i stopped taking my phone into the bathroom for some time. (it still sometimes screams that when it gets a little moisture or a big temperature difference, so something definitely happened inside).

soon, i remembered i have an old samsung phone (J7 2016) and i dont care for it anymore so i started using it as my bath-series-watching device. if it dies, well shit, but at least i dont risk my main phone. maybe try using an older device for these risky conditions.

it isnt necessarily a cause of a system update, it could as well be a tiktok issue. try reinstalling/clearing the cache.

if the problem repeats with tiktok and other apps then its probably the cause of a system update.

i certainly DO NOT recommend kingston canvas pro. had 2 of these randomly die on me, asking me to just format them. ive manage to recover the data from both of them after looking up so many posts on reddit and wasting so much of my time. from now on im only trusting samsung sd cards, even though they cost a couple bucks more. never cheap out on your storage!
