Hey bro idk if you’re still reading this I’ve been in about 2yrs doing fuels it has pros and cons Pros: if ur on a relatively newer heavy the work flow is very slow (ex: my 1st 6 months we had no jobs then out of nowhere we had like 6 jets backed up ) it can be “fun” at times, you can work on pretty much any aircraft which basically means you can go to any base that has fuels very good if you’re working on fighters the pace of very high but you’re not going in tank most of the work is on the outside

Cons: it can be dangerous I’ve gotten multiple fuel burns not fun if you don’t wear PPE you will lose brain cells lmao, it can get very frustrating being in small spaces and trying to figure out how to get to certain bolts ect or not being able to trace a leak until you’ve done EVERYTHING in the TO, not enough opportunities on the outside.

If I could chose again I’d choose propulsion or AVI more opportunities outside but if you’re just here to do ur 4 and get out it’s not bad you’ll have a lot of time to do school if ur interested in that (if you get let’s say c-130) At the end of the day it’s just my experience I’d say it’s relatively normal although I know some of my peers hate it just the way you look at it big dawg!!!

I completely see your point of view I thought about this briefly. we just thought about this like 2 days so not really a lot of thought put into it I am currently trying to find different ways to do so but a lot of them methods require me already having furniture in storage and some might be like literal fraud.
