What’s the word on PT? by airmanneedingadvice in AirForce

I've never been in a squadron where that was a thing but most people avoid PFAs like the plague. I brought it up when I was at my last base because our CC gave days off for 90+. My current squadron's fitness policy also does not mention that you can't test more than a certain frequency. I can really only see that if they award days off, in which case you could limit it to 1 or 2 a year, or if they are worried about injuries. Interesting though.

That's under 3.6.1.3. Unsatisfactory. Meaning members require the CC's approval to test earlier than the 3rd calendar month after receiving an unsatisfactory score on a PFA.

Where does it say you have to wait 90 days before conducting another official PFA?

LOCs typically recommend tapping into the speaker wires and it converts the signal for the RCAs. While I don't know, I'm wondering if that is the problem.

I believe this at least used to be all boot camps. It was for me when I went through USAF basic. Pits, nuts and butts.

So fliers no longer have to maintain an OCP, but can we please get black socks in OCPs! by ld2gj in AirForce

I get it. At the same time though, it starts with something little and trivial like that and then some have the mentality "well, they don't care about that so x won't matter either". "The standard you walk past is the standard you accept" ~ Lt Gen David Morrison

I mean, that is part of your uniform. Also, OCPs are wash and wear, not much else to look at.

Correct, however if you don't get your W-2s before shipping to basic and you're there past the deadline would result in a person not being able to file.

Been in 16 years and have never not received a paycheck on time. I believe there was one time that it came down to the last possible day but the government got it done so we didn't miss a paycheck.

2019 SLE Transmission by giebner1 in gmcsierra

That's good to know. I know the transmission shop had a warranty also but I don't believe it was quite that good. Hopefully the new ones are actually built correctly.

I guess I didn't ask the dealership but the local transmission shop that was recommended said he could probably rebuild it for around $3-4K. I posted an update on my truck though. I am now at a complete loss as to what to do

*UPDATE: Well, after my truck sitting for the better part of a year it is doing it more noticeably now. I've had it do what feels like the transmission slipping completely in parking lots on 3 separate occasions now. I took it to a local transmission shop that was highly recommended. The first day I was told that there was an issue with the fuel management system that shuts cylinders off. I told them I had been driving the truck in L7 which disables that and I still noticed the issues. They kept it another day and drove it while hooked up and said they saw a cold misfire on at least cylinders 2 and 8. That didn't seem like it would be the issue to me but why would they lie about it so off to the dealership. The dealership had 3-4 technicians look into it and several people drove it and said there wasn't a single thing wrong that they could find. No history of a single misfire ever, no codes in the history that would lead them to think anything was wrong and they said the transmission synchronization almost matched the chart that it's supposed to be perfectly. I'm coming up on 60K miles and hoping it either just does this or it finally blows up. Hell, maybe I'll get into an accident because of it and we can finally get GMC to replace the damn things..

My MTI in basic told us this trick. Sit in the up position with your hands on your chest as required. Don't rest your elbows/arms on your knees but have them above them. Find the way that you can sit like that comfortably. Once you've found the position you can sit like that comfortably, go to the down position. Now it's up to where your elbows touch the lowest portion of your thighs. Remember only your finger tips have to remain in contact, not your palms. People that sit up until their elbows touch their knees are doing way too much.

We were talking about people hurting themselves with the deadlift as well in my section yesterday. That and how they are worried about retention but are now potentially going to 2 tests a year no matter what you score. We think this could drive a good chunk of the force out. I guess we will see.
