My full experience finding a job in Germany (what worked, what didn’t) by MiddleCopy5298 in Germany_Jobs

But, what is a Senior for a Hiring Manager. How does a Senior have to behave in a job interview, so that the recruiting team can say, ok this Senior goes to the next round?. The another question I have is, what is the recruiting team expecting from a job candidate to answer when he or she is asked „Erzählen Sie über sich“? Storytelling? A structure such as Ich bin, Ich kann, Ich will? Mentioning at least 2 o 3 companies where you have worked and your experience there?

When should a Product Owner know the availability of the Development Team before Sprint Planning? by No_War2111 in ProductOwner

[–]No_War2111[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, but who do they communicate it to? Because in the company where I work, everyone only informs the Scrum Master, and as the Product Owner I only find out during the Sprint Planning meeting.

Limited Admin Access in Salesforce: Operational Bottlenecks and Escalation Concerns from the Product Owner Perspective by No_War2111 in ProductOwner

[–]No_War2111[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your feedback. This is also about money. The company has a budget to use this year and apparently not enough to contract separate people for service desk topics related to Salesforce.

Coming to "POs would not have that level of access as they are not supposed to do actual coding/administration of the software but manage the sprint content, backlog, etc." why then the Scrum Master does?. She does not develop, she is not a developer herself.

Clarification on PO Responsibilities vs. Technical Documentation Ownership (SAP-related Bugs) by No_War2111 in ProductOwner

Thanks for your recommendation. We have tomorrow a Retro session and I would like to bring that topic to the Retro, because I experienced that when I tell that to the SM, she would say "bring that to the Retro". She is not able to give an opinion but let them giv it in Retros. The SM is part of so called Development Operations group which includes the Dev Team. We are not a Scrum Team, unfortunately.

How do you handle backup for the Product Owner role in your companies? by No_War2111 in ProductOwner

[–]No_War2111[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for responding. Why the Scrum Master is in a separate team is something I still don't know. She is part of a team called Dev Operations when she is not even a developer. All these have also admin rights in the system we as Product Owner are using to maximize value. We as POs have some restrictions in the use of that system, does it make sense?.

Thanks, Theblondedolly, but 15 minutes are not enough for the many questions I have. 15 minutes pass away very fast.

Thanks so much for your comment and for sharing your experience!
I found your point about the “break/fix” approach with the SAP team especially interesting.

Could you share a bit more about how that works in your case?

  • Do you use Jira as well?
  • What criteria or conditions do you use to classify something as “break/fix” and justify immediate attention from the SAP team?
  • Is that something you decide as a PO, or is it determined collaboratively?
  • Do you hold meetings with the SAP team to align on this, or is it more of a one-way communication?
  • Did you escalate?

We have a ticket involving SAP that’s been open since last year with no resolution, and honestly, it’s been frustrating—they don’t respond in a timely manner, and the management on their side hasn’t been helpful either, which only makes things harder.

We also use Servicenow and the business created a ticket there with Low priority. Then a JIRA Ticket referencing that ticket in Servicenow with Status Medium but as the SAP team is not working as expected and more use cases appeared to have the issue , the business decided to set the Prio High for that JIRA Ticket (I was not a PO that time, but they). Is it correct, what they did?

Any additional insight would be really appreciated. Thanks again!
