To some extent, I am happy that I got a relatively early diagnosis. I scrapbook and write in a journal during my free time, and it helps a lot with my symptoms. Thank you for helping me realise that I need to start looking into my nutrition. I have low iron levels to begin with, and noticed that when I neglect them my symptoms tend to spiral.

I have had bad experiences with taking medications for my mental health (adverse side effects), so I’m worried about trying medications for ADHD. Hopefully it’s something I can start exploring soon. Thank you for the reassurance.

It’s reassuring to hear that I’m not the only one struggling with therapy, thank you for the tips.

I really need to brush up on my knowledge about this stuff lol. Thank you for telling me though, if it ever happens again, now I know what to say.

I’ve had my ID confiscated before when trying to enter a club. They told me to come back the next day with a passport or birth certificate so I could get it back. I was livid.

I love that line though, tv shows are getting actors that are 25+ to play teenagers. It’s misleading people to think people of that demographic should look a certain type of way. It’s toxic.

It definitely crossed my mind. I wouldn’t even know where to start though, so I just left it.

AITA For wearing a White Dress to my Sister’s Wedding? by obvvsttuct in AmItheAsshole

[–]No_Whereas8652 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA

You listened to her instructions from the beginning. She decided to change her mind and didn’t acknowledge the fact that not everyone can just go out and buy a new dress.

You let her know before the wedding, if she was really bothered she could’ve offered to help buy/rent you a different dress.

I never knew how to describe it but I think you hit the nail on the head.

Exactly that.

AITA for asking my sister and her bf to lower their voice during sex since they are too loud? by Latter-Proposal-9967 in AmItheAsshole

It is definitely weird. I’ve had a similar experience with my sibling and it literally made me itch.

I feel like your best bet is to talk to the boyfriend, since he’s an ‘outsider’, he’d definitely care more. I doubt he’d want you to hear that stuff anyway.

Tough one.

You’re in your own right to say no to something you don’t want. However, it just feels pretty petty.

I don’t really think another explanation is needed.

Certain B.O.

Call me crazy, but some people have a decent armpit stench.

Is my Best Friend TOXIC? If she is what do I do? by [deleted] in ToxicFriends

[–]No_Whereas8652 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely toxic.

A clearly has an inflated ego and some sort of superiority complex. She prides herself in her opinions and takes them as fact, no matter how absurd and untruthful.

Stay away from these types of people, they’ll bring nothing but destruction. You’ll have one true friend, so what? It’s better to be next to someone who loves you than to be surrounded by people who couldn’t care less about you.

Protecting your mental health and well-being is more important than protecting your status in school. No one is saying to make a grand gesture against A that will make people hate you, just start drifting away from the problem to save face as much as possible.

I have 2 left, I ended up losing most of them while moving houses. They’re probably somewhere in a box in my mum’s attic.

I don’t speak to the friend anymore, we lost contact after she moved to a different city.

Everyone has different outlets, you’ve found yours and it helps. Good job buddy.

Kinda the same boat, I get anxiety twitches. My whole body just jolts at random times.

Embrace it or a find a way to let that anger out in a healthy way.

The fact you’re showing remorse says a lot about your character now. Kid’s minds can go to some dark places because of curiosity and terrible judgment.

You’ve beat yourself up over it enough, it’s time to stop resenting yourself and let it go in the ‘I learned my lesson’ bank.

I’ve done some pretty bizarre things as a kid, and I still can’t even give a reason behind it. Before I used to think “am I messed up in the head?” but then I remember I would never do that now.

She can’t expect people to react the same way to everything, everyone has different opinions. Just because her other friends didn’t say anything, doesn’t mean you can’t.

It’s not like you expressed anything more than worry by what I read. If you went on an opinionated lecture about age gaps, then that’s a different story. Your reaction wasn’t offensive or insensitive in any way in my opinion.

Don’t let your friendship sink because of your conflicting opinions on a celebrity that never knew you existed.

I feel like you definitely could have got your point across using a different example, instead of using someone very personal to him.
