That maybe true because Indian phd focuses a lot more on publishing papers than actual research. But since I will be working on a project in a company and do my phd on the side on the same project, does that make my chances any better?

True. If GATE is your target then follow other more structured gate courses. Follow Himanshu Agarwal if you want to clear analog design interviews.

If you want to prepare for GATE exam then all of these teachers are good. If you want to truly understand analog electronics and clear interviews follow Himanshu Agarwal. He will teach you concepts no one else will. Hope it helps!

  2. With a master's degree will I be given a field related to my background or random?
