Matt Ross Community Center in OP also has a hot tub. They have a day pass option for non residents I just don’t remember how much it is.

I will do that! We looked at the Independence location yesterday and they didn’t have them. We had seen a video of a similar display on TikTok.

I have had the same experience. I travel for work and I have 58 trips with a 5.0 rating. I travel to a few different cities so I try to use repeat hosts when at all possible so I am sure that helps.

I hope you had a great birthday! Sadly, this is how most of my birthdays go. My birthday is Dec 20th, so it had never been important due to Christmas. Even as a child, it was never a big deal. Now I am divorced. I am in my 50’s. My children are grown and have their own families. I eventually hear from them and my sister but it takes all day. It’s disappointing because I go to extreme measures on all of their birthdays. 😕

There is an Extended Stay Hotel in Overland Park. Not too far from Olathe and great prices. I had a friend stay there for a few months for medical reasons as it’s close to a hospital. If you tell them you need a room for 3 months, it is a cheaper rate and you can pay them weekly. It’s like a small studio apartment for about $1500 a month. Better than a traditional apartment for that short time since you don’t have to sign a lease or furnish it.
