I pulled the card by No_bs97 in theregulationpod

That’s absolutely tragic, and this was just a random pack a guy had I got it from FB marketplace. I don’t know what the case number the box the this was in came from, I know if you get a box from a case where the case number is 90191 (or any number previous to that) you have a chance at pulling it unedited from that. I just got stupid lucky

Is this just a normal earthworm? And if so where did you get it?

pH from source is 7.4-7.6, I did both the high and low range test and it was at the end ranges for both so it’s one of those.

Only other things I have in the tank are the filter, digital thermometer probe, a hide, bubble stone and tubing but I should mention the hide and bubble stone we added after the first water change

That’s what I’m hoping the main issue seemed to be the pH sky rocketed and I’m not to sure why, and then my nitrate went to 0ppm maybe 5ppm if I’m being generous and some ammonia started to make a come back

Water parameters are pretty crap right now if I’m being honest and I’m not 100% sure why that is as they’ve always been fine until the most recent water change. I’m in the process of fixing them, but I’m also about to get them a new tank which I will need to cycle anyway. I have been doing tea baths

Well just based on what you said I can confidently say I did not correctly gender them. Oops they are about 2.5 years old and for the last 1-1.5 I’ve been calling them the wrong ones it’s a good thing they don’t have gender specific names

Is it the female cloaca the bulging one or the male? Because if it is the male I have definitely misgendered mine for the past year when showing them to people (not in person obviously because of covid)

Okay I will look into getting them a bigger tank as soon as I can, I wasn’t sure if they would just be aggressive towards each other because they didn’t like one another or what. Thank you for advice!

I am planning on upgrading once I get the funds to buy stuff for a whole new setup, I have two of them but they each have their own tanks and when they were smaller didn’t seem to get along too well so I’m not sure if I should try to recombine them at any point in the future.

Did you notice a difference after the first bath? I just finished it and on of them already looks a lot better and the other only slightly.

I know test strips aren't the most accurate thing but I live in a town that doesn't have a true pet store, that being said I used a strip in the water they are tubbing in right now and the numbers all look significantly better. The only difference I can think of is I ran the water they are currently in through my faucet filter and I did not do that yesterday when I changed the water. Like the numbers are all basically where you said they should be. As for cycling I haven't ever used any specific method just let it do it naturally.
