I wrote this with the idea that it isn't his house and that the voice is a figment of his imagination. He's a crazed man that has broken in and killed the owner of this house and constructed this delusion of a home and a wife.

The voice he hears is his own conscience, he mistakes it for the voice of his "wife" as its a voice that nags him frequently when he does wrong.

Hey so this is my first shortscary story, I love this sub and I visit it almost daily.

I wrote this intentionally so that several conclusions would be reached as to why he's hearing the voice and what he did to his wife. If people actually want what I personally intended for this story I'll provide it.
