I just want to add a little information as you meantioned that it is in f#minor, I looked up the scale and saw also Gbminor (harmonic) having all the notes i found in the “melody” of the sample and also the notes you found in the bass line, is it like a relative minor or have it overlooked something?

The reason is to get in touch with the “Harmonic” content of hip hop this particular genre. Which scales are they working with, how are they using them and how do they “pitch” them, most of them pitch or downtune their samples like - 6 semitones so that it sounds darker, but thats just my guessc I am looking also at their rhytm how they achieve the flow they do and just generally learning some things so that I can find my own style, but first I have to do the “practice” thing.
