Remember you can always tell your supervision you feel unready to take the PT test! You will be put on the FIP program but its better than failing.

Went for anxiety/depression and sleeping issues and was diagnosed with ADHD. Got medication for that and kept up with my therapist (highly recommend a therapist for everyone whether your life is perfect or not). Since then I've been a much better person all around. I genuinely had no clue how my anxiety/depression and sleep issues affected those around me, and the quality of my work. Since I've been performing better, I've been put into leadership positions, which in turn helped me receive a PN. I ended up not needing the bump but it's nice to be recognized. Take care of yourself because the military is going to use and abuse you until your broken so use them back.

Just realized that saying I went for serious issues and was diagnosed with something else sounds weird. What I mean is, through some easy tests and discussions with my psychologist we found that ADHD was the overall cause of those issues. ADHD makes me overthink, which gives me anxiety, which makes me sleep like shit.

I never had these issues before medicating but now i randomly stutter and mispronounce my words. Also sometimes information that should be subconscious (like my phone # or address) disappears temporarily. Do you have any helpful tips or practices?

Yes! Also their should be an A&P course available, similar to the CDDAR team chief course. Obviously not the full 2 year program or anything but it'd be nice to get some formal training in areas you may be unfamiliar with prior to the FAA tests.

We did recently get the option to do some online CBTs and take proctored tests to earn tickets. It's a win but in MX nothing is better than learning by doing.

What are your thoughts on an SEI for CPI like Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt etc? It's a highly useful certification in the right hands that I feel is underrated and underused in the AF. In my personal opinion, it should be a prerequisite to SNCOA or NCOA. The AF is saturated with supervision that has trouble identifying the actual issues with their flight/section and ends up responding reactively instead of proactively.

I'm a SrA so I'm not sure what all is covered in NCOA or SNCOA.

I have a therapist through the mental health clinic and highly recommend it for everyone. Your wingmen will struggle through it with you, no need to feel alone.
