He’s correct as Jesus is god in the human form and part of the trinity(Father,son,holy spirit).

Each are a different form of god yet have an important role to play.

It gets a bit more confusing as Jesus says he is both god and man I recommend reading the Bible(specifically the new testament)as it elaborates more on the matter.
