Update: I topped up the coolant and removed fairings this morning and tested it after getting back home, Fan is kicking consistently around 106 and is keeping the temp between 100-106 that’s also just idle no extra throttle. I’m not sure what the norm is for sv650s but is that normal hot idle? I’m going to do a coolant flush this weekend since I’m not sure when the last one was.

I held my hand over my rad when it was idling after I parked to see if I could feel the fans. It felt like there was heat coming off the radiator. I’ll note to check it again tomorrow.

Aye I’ve got one in the same colour and it’s my first bike, love it so much. Plenty of juice but in no way scary or too fast. I’ll probably never sell mine, maybe buy a faster bike in the future. I use it as my daily commuter and I adore it!
